Ride along the Lake & River Sihl
a tour along the Zurich lake and the river Sihl
Time: 3:20 hours
Dist: 46km
Uphill/Downhill: 373.38 m
Start your bike ride in Manegg and head toward the Voliere Zürich, where you can stop to see many interesting bird species. From there, continue along the lake on a beautiful and peaceful path with great views of the lake side. This part of the ride is very scenic and relaxing. We suggest taking a break at Fischer’s Fritz or Portofino Restaurant—both are great places to eat by the lake.
After your stop, keep riding through Thalwil, Oberrieden, and Horgen until you reach Wädenswil. On the way back, the route goes through the quiet back area of Langnau and Adliswil. Here, you’ll discover small forest roads and tranquility of this side of the city. The scenery changes from the lake to the forest pathways. Near Adliswil, you’ll follow the calm Sihl River, which is a lovely way to end the ride.
This route is a mix of lake views, and peaceful nature—not too hard and perfect for a day out.
